I never even touched the cursor on my chosen number..
Once I did not even follow the directions, I just looked at the number and she still got it!

ReplyDeleteI was cruising around the internet (wasting time) and stumbled across
your site. It's good, I like it. Anyways, I was checking out your place
and came across the games section. So I clicked there and the first
thing I saw was the "Regifting Robin". I played it once and she got it
right. I thought about it for a minute and it's easy to see why she is
always right.
STOP READING HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE ANSWER.
It's quite simple really.
She starts the game by telling you to pick any two digit number and then
subtracting both individual digits from that number. That is the whole
trick. No matter what number you pick the answer you get will always be
a whole number divisible by 9. In her example she used 25. 25 minus 2
minus 5 equals 18. Going to the chart next you will find that any number
that is a multiple of 9 has the same answer.
Also, just as quirky side note, for any number you pick the answer will
always be 9 times whatever the first digit is of the number you chose.

Well thank you Scott, I suppose if I would have played it a few times even I might have realized that but I surely can't bank on that. : ) Actually and seriously tho', I do appreciate you telling me how.
